Sing Out Loud formed in 2012 to host concerts in the National Opera House, Wexford. Our 2023 show in Wexford was our eleventh ‘Sing Out Loud’ concert, but ninth show in County Wexford. The team behind Sing Our Loud have over seventy years’ experience in the arts. Our passion for theatre, music and the arts come from years of involvement in show business. (From performing on stage, backstage, planning, productions, and musicality) The Sing Out Loud Team want to bring our experience and passion to help the future generation and give them a chance to perform, in a live concert, at renowned venues. Our hope is that children, through the learning and performing of their music, will have life-long memories and a wonderful new passion and love of music, singing and performing.

Each ‘Sing Out Loud’ concert will stage up to 250 children from approximately six different schools and they will perform a selection of songs with professional musicians each night while being conducted by an energetic and vibrant Choir Musical Director. Featured guest artists will be performing on the stage with the children, and they will be interspersed with the school’s musical numbers.

The project is open to all 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th class pupils. To participate each school must send a minimum of 10 pupils. Our venues are all fully wheelchair accessible in both front of house and backstage. The recommended minimum age limit for pupils performing in the concert is aged 9 years. The concert duration is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes with no interval.

Each school is provided with a Teachers Pack for ‘Sing Out Loud’. Each school is required to teach the music to the children. All participating schools will have the same programme and come together on the day of the concert for a dress rehearsal before the concert commences. In addition, each school will need to take note of the event timelines to ensure they have completed each task required by the due dates.

The Sing Out Loud team will provide a teachers pack which will give all the material required to teach the children their music. It will include: a Master Lyric Sheet which contains all the worlds to all the music that the children need to learn and a link to download the rehearsal audio files. You will also be provided with a full itinerary of what to expect on the day of your concert. This will answer most of the questions that will arise.

There is no financial charge to participate in Sing Out Loud.
